History Behind Performing Umrah

Muslims have a tremendous desire to go to Makkah and undertake Umrah, which
Prophet Muhammad SAWW was well aware of. Of course, they also had a strong desire to visit their native country. Finally deciding to leave Madina and conduct Umrah in 628, the Prophet Muhammad SAWW. Around 1400 people were with him, SAWW. When Makkans learned that the Prophet Muhammad SAWW would be marching with that many Muslims, they were worried that the Muslims might have plans to invade Makkah and unbelievers. Therefore, when they arrived at Makkah's outskirts, the Prophet Muhammad SAWW despatched an agent to the Makkans to settle the situation. He SAWW did not want Muslims' journey to cause confusion in the eyes of non-believers.

The Prophet Muhammad SAWW sent an agent to the Makkans to settle the matter when they arrived at Makkah's outskirts.
He SAWW did not want the non
believers' perceptions of Muslims' travel to be clouded.
He SAWW wished to clear up any misunderstanding because Muslims were traveling to Makkah for very holy reason and wanted peace deal for the benefit of both parties.

After receiving the messenger, the non-
believers gave it some thinking and ultimately agreed to forbid Muslims from entering the city.
Muslims were instructed to wait until the following year to conduct the small pilgrimage (Umrah), which was prohibited that year.
Between Muslims and non-believers, a treaty or agreement was formed regarding travel to Makkah for a mini Hajj. The two parties' agreement is known historically as the "Treaty of Hudaybiah."
